Dr. Jason Fennema, D.C.

Dr. Jason Fennema has spent his entire ten year career with Ravenswood Health & Wellness Center. Although originally a small, humble storefront practice on Irving Park Road, the vision for a bigger and more dynamic wellness center has been there from the beginning.

Dr. Fennema understood early on that people in today's healthcare marketplace are looking for true solutions to their problems, not quick fixes or bandaids. As a result, his vision led RHWC to become a leading comprehensive wellness facility that combines objective measurements and processes to effectively evaluate and treat a wide array of conditions.

Dr. Fennema is passionate about spinal rehab through Chiropractic, about getting sick and unhealthy people well without reliance on unnecessary medications, and about truly leading people to a wellness lifestyle. As a father of two young children he also understands the importance of helping children achieve their innate health potential by emphasizing postural development, proper movement, and healthy nutrition. Dr. Fennema sees the creation of healthy habits early in life as a long-term solution for many of our country's serious health challenges.

His passions away from the office center around his wife Erin and two children Landon and Audrey; there is nothing more important than family. Dr. Fennema played competitive soccer most his life, including two years at the University of Minnesota, is an avid golfer and downhill skier, has run the Chicago Marathon, and recently summited Mt. Rainier for the first time.

Clinic Director | Chiropractic Physician

Dr. William Bastian, D.C.

William Bastian, a Chiropractic Physician at Ravenswood Health and Wellness, has always been interested in how the body moves and functions. “I found there’s so much to learn about how the body works as an entire system and not individual parts,” he says.

This interest really took off right before getting his doctorate in Chiropractic. “It was my senior year of undergrad, when I interned with a D.C., that I truly understood that concept. Everything in the body is connected.”

William believes Ravenswood is unique. “We incorporate a whole health mentality. Chiropractic is amazing with what it can do but there is also much more that goes into health. We incorporate exercise/ personal training, nutrition and a medical model as well.”

The process of a patient starting with pain and the inability to do things to being able to move and function is what motivates William. He says, “When it comes to patient interaction, “I like seeing the change people go through, not only physically through care but how it changes them mentally as well. Once they are able to get out of pain and move better, their whole life can change.”

Outside of work, William is into sports, anything outdoors, fishing, snowboarding, traveling and martial arts. And like his interest in how the human body moves and functions, he also studies and works on the mechanics of cars and motorcycles.

Nurse Practitioner

Tatiana Jaramillo, F.N.P.

Tatiana Jaramillo has made a big impact from her very first day at Ravenswood. “I always knew I wanted to go into the nursing profession to provide compassionate, selfless and reliable care to those in need to increase patient quality of life,” she says. Her patients are quick to tell you she demonstrates that every day.

As Ravenswood’s Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, her collaborative management of patient health and wellness includes pain evaluations and in-house management, evaluations for myofascial release physical therapy, allergy testing and treatments and body composition evaluations.

Her philosophy is to work in a “collaborative approach to care,” stressing “an open door policy for patients at all times for questions and feedback.” Tatiana provides a positive and supportive atmosphere where each patient is cared for as a whole, involving a cohesive, interdisciplinary team between all departments.

What drives her so much? “Seeing patients improve and meet and/or exceed their treatment goals, developing interpersonal professional relationships with patients, giving support and guidance to patients throughout their treatment.”

And if all that weren’t enough, outside of work Tatiana enjoys “traveling both near and far, spending time and making memories with my family.”
