
The word "yoga" means union or harmony. Ravenswood Health Center's yoga instructor, Candice Wu, facilitates vinyasa yoga classes. The practice is vinyasa flow sequence compassionately designed to build strength and flexibility in the body and awaken the spirit. This practice focuses on synchronization of breath with the continuous flow of movement. It is a vigorous practice that weaves endurance, flexibility, strength, mental focus, yoga philosophy, conscious breath, and emotional healing. Classes typically include sun salutations, standing poses, balance postures, and seated poses. Practice is adapted for all abilities, generating a compassionate space for emotional, physical, and spiritual awareness.
Candice Wu is a Pure Yoga trained Vinyasa Yoga instructor. In addition to Pure Yoga Training, Candice utilizes her training in Ayurvedic Medicine, Reiki, Sanskrit, Kriya Yoga, Pyschology, Applied Kinesiology, and Fine Arts education. She enjoys continuing her learning through trainings and workshops including with her gurus Jim Kulackoski and Allison English. In addition, Candice continues holistic healing journey with her study of Clinical Psychology at Argosy University.
